Critique Time! Havn’t done this for awhile so I know you all have lots to share!
We all get better when we have our work critiqued. I know some of you hate this but believe me it helps you become a better shooter if you hear what other people are seeing in your work .
The critiques are done in a group discussion format. It is very informal and friendly nothing to be afraid of.
The rules of the critique are :
The photographer needs to tell us what they were going for when they present their image. Ex. Formal portrait, journalistic style portrait, fashion, Dramatic landscape , reflections etc whatever motivated them to take the picture to begin with. If you want to remain annoymous in the critique you can hand me a writeup with your disc and I will state your artistic goals.
The person who is critiquing has to first state what they liked about the image or what is working for them in the image. .
Then state what is not working for them
explain why it is not working
and how they would fix it.
As always we expect everyone to be respectful and polite.
Please bring no more than three photos per person . We have internet so you can put them on your website or bring in a drive and we can upload them. Prints are fine too. If you are too shy to bring your work but just want to learn from others that would be fine too.
Matt , you will be happy to know we have a new projector, images should look better this year.
A treat to share would be awesome.
Take a deep breath , sign up and learn how to improve your work!
See you there.
