With the crazy year we have been having this may turn into 2nd and 3rd signs of spring. Join us for photo hike as we look for some early signs of spring at the refuge.
For this hike we will be exploring the Bass Ponds area of the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. This unit comprises both a nice wooded area and a wide open area by the ponds. There should be plenty of birds, and the late afternoon sun, should make for some fun reflection shots off of the ponds.
Sunset is at 7:58PM, so we may be able to get some sunset shots depending upon the weather.
Equipment:
– Any type of camera
– Appropriate clothing (plan for some mud along the trail)
– Tripod (optional, but a good idea for sunset shots)
– bug spray (usually mosquitos are not out in April, but this year who knows)
