We recently had a meeting to revamp the photographers on assignment program.
For several months now We have been enjoying great lectures and participating in interesting photo projects but we felt something was lacking.
After brainstorming a little bit we realized we would enjoy the program so much more if we started shooting together rather than shooting alone. We also felt that having shows and critiques of our work would bring more energy into the program.
We had our first shoot together last weekend at Loring Park and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
We are in the process of scheduling more group shoots and would like to invite more photographers to our meetings . You must be an outdoor photographers or studio member to join us. Your monthly fees help to offset the cost of running programs like this.
The current format will be one shoot a month followed by a group critique of our work. We plan to still bring in quality speakers as well. When we bring in the speakers TCPG pays the bulk of the lecture fee but we have been asking for a small donation of $5.00 to $10.00 per person to help pay for the instructors time . This allows us to bring in very talented speakers. It is our hopes each photographer will be able to create a great body of work by spring . We plan to have a show consisting of our best shots.
The program is open to all levels of photographers and is meant to be an educational and fun experience for everyone.
We have a lot of shooting suggestions to explore and are open to new ideas.
If you would like to join us now is a great time.
We are hoping this new format will inspire new photographic journeys for everyone while fostering great friendships.
This evening we will be critiquing our shots from Loring park and planning our next shoot and theme . Most shoots will be happening on Sunday Afternoons.
Come on down and join us you will be glad you did.
Hope to see you there.
