Model Aurora

Chris Grey will continue the exploration of the fine art nude with his next TCPG figure class, Advanced Lighting Techniques for Photography of the Nude. With Chris' expert instruction, you'll learn how to light for design and direct the model for emotion while controlling and manipulating the light itself. You'll learn how to take traditional modifiers like umbrellas and softboxes to new creative levels by breaking some of the "rules" you may have learned. Each participant will have exclusive time to shoot and direct the model.

Under current copyright law, you are allowed to use whatever you shoot for your personal portfolio, but you may not sell or post (even on social media) any of your images without a signed model release. Our experienced figure model will sign a release that you provide for a $25.00 fee, payable in cash to her. It's not necessary to pay that fee to photograph the model.

If you took Chris' first class, you know what an excellent instructor he is. For those of you who'd like a deeper understanding of this evocative genre, you can count on Chris to point you in the right direction or, possibly, a direction you've never thought of.

The Lovely Miss  Aurora will be joining us as our model.

About Chris Grey

He may be just an average golfer and poor dancer (his words), but Chris Grey is considered a world-class photographer and Master of Light. He’s won numerous national and international awards for his work, taught workshops in Spain, Italy, the UK, and the US, and is a frequent speaker for WPPI and SWPP conventions. He’s the author of 15 physical books on photography in general and lighting in particular, most for Amherst Media. He’s currently working on a retrospective book on his photographic relationship with the nude, both as a muse for his creativity and as a cathartic experience for the women who’ve stood before his camera.
